Documents Show Casey Anthony Searched Neck-Breaking On Computer

17624334Newly released court documents show Casey Anthony searched for information on chloroform, types of shovels and neck-breaking on her computer in the time before her young daughter Caylee disappeared.

The documents show Casey searched those items in March, at the same time she was also looking on missing children web sites. Casey reported her daughter missing in June. Casey claims she left Caylee with a babysitter but that person has never been found and Casey now stands charged with Caylee’s murder.

Some of the information found on Casey’s computer also related to the chemicals peroxide, acetone and alcohol, which can be used to make chloroform.

Traces of chloroform were found in the trunk of Casey’s car, along with DNA evidence that suggests the dead body of Caylee had also been in there.

Investigators say they found that Casey’s mother Cindy was not at home when the searches were done. They say she was at work but that her father, George, was not employed at the time.

The new records also show that Casey told her parents during a jail visit that her message to “Zenaida,” the mysterious nanny, was “she (Zenaida) needs to return Caylee” and “I forgive her.”

Casey hinted that she told Cindy long ago that she might have given someone a key to their house but didn’t say who.

Casey also gave a description of Zenaida: she’s 5-feet, seven inches tall, had curly brown hair that had been straightened, weighs 140 pounds, and has brown eyes, and a lot of money.

The documents also show there was no rotting pizza in the trunk of Casey’s car. Cindy has long claimed a horrible smell that detectives have described as the smell of death, was due to a rotting pizza.

Judge Considers Gag Order In Anthony Case

1-ajudgegagCasey Anthony waived her right to appear before Orange Circuit Judge Stan Strickland during a gag order hearing on Tuesday.  A judge on Tuesday listened to arguments on the state’s gag-order request and other motions in the case of Casey Anthony, who has been charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of her daughter, CayleeJudge Stan Strickland said he would rule on the gag order at a later date. Strickland said if he did allow the gag order, Casey Anthony’s parents, George and Cindy Anthony, would not be included.

Casey Anthony, 22, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in her daughter’s disappearance.

The hearing got testy at times with the state accusing Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, of trying to taint the jury poolWhen you have the defense attorney himself appearing on national television — being essentially cross-examined by newscasters or former attorneys — it creates an atmosphere where potential jurors are virtually invited to make decisions,” a state prosecutor argued.

Baez told the court that the state — not Casey Anthony’s defense team — has leaked information to the media. Baez cited reports that chloroform and hair strands had possibly been found in his client’s car, then pointed across the courtroom blaming the state for the release of that information.

Video Released Of FBI Questioning Cindy Anthony

18035339_320x180Cindy Anthony told FBI agents on Aug. 7 that Casey revealed to her brother, Lee, that the person who possibly took Caylee was “teaching her a lesson.”

“Lee has more information on why Zannie would double crossed her,” Cindy Anthony said. It’s unclear what kind of lesson or why.
At some point, Casey gave her family her password for the home computer. She changed the password to “timer55.”

“We have no clue what ‘timer55′ is,” Cindy Anthony said.

She went on to say that Casey told Lee that “timer55″ meant she had 55 days to be taught that lesson. It’s 55 days from June 14 to August 9 – Caylee’s birthday.

“We don’t know if anything is going to change now because who knew police were going to be involved in this,” Cindy Anthony said.

Video Released Of FBI Questioning George Anthony

18033294FBI tapes released Friday reveal new information about Casey Anthony and her web of lies surrounding the disappearance of her daughter Caylee. Casey Anthony told lie after lie to her parents and even stole from her daughter’s own piggy bank.

Detectives told George that they were going to find out what happened to Caylee, regardless of whether Casey or the Anthonys got hurt in the process. During the interview on July 31, they made it very clear their focus was finding Caylee.During investigators’ interview with Casey Anthony’s father George in late July, he told detectives that Caylee would run to grandmother Cindy or George before running to Casey, because they were always there for Caylee.

George told investigators Casey stole money from them for years, sometimes forged deposits and even stole from Caylee’s piggy bank and her savings account. Investigators said Cindy was presenting the family through rose-colored glasses, because she could not accept the reality of what Casey had become and had a hard time facing the amount of money that Casey had stolen from them.

George also told detectives how Casey would not let him near her car trunk a week after Caylee disappeared. He wanted to retrieve the gas cans she had taken from his shed.

”She’s done some bad things. I started to get sick about it. I got sick. I thought I knew my daughter,” George told investigators. “Casey just blows past me. ‘Dad, I’ll get it.’ I said, ‘Casey, I’m capable of getting it out.’ Then she says, ‘Dad, I’ll get it.’ And she keeps pushing her hand back.’ Don’t come close, you know, type deal. Finally I get back to the back of the car. She opens up the trunk and she says, ‘Here’s your f****** cans.’”

George said his gut feeling told him something was wrong. Caylee was not with Casey that day, June 24, and she kept telling him Caylee was fine and was with the nanny.

George told detectives Casey added the job “nanny” to her own resume, which he called her out on because she had never worked as a nanny.

George also admitted he lost thousands of dollars on an emailed UK lottery scam, something he lied to his wife about, telling her instead he had gambled it away.

Casey Anthony To Be Arraigned On Murder Charge

Caylee Marie Anthony is escorted by Nick Savage, FBI agent (left) and Eric Edwards, (right) Orange County sheriff detective after being arrested on first degree murder charges.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) — Casey Anthony is scheduled to have a first appearance Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. on new charges that a Grand Jury handed down in an indictment yesterday.

The Grand Jury handed down a seven count indictment: first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of obstructing a criminal investigation and giving false information to law enforcement.

If Casey is convicted of first degree murder, she could face the death penalty or life in prison. Prosecutors said no decision has been made on whether to seek the death penalty.

The panel of 19 jurors believed that FBI results, evidence and testimony from several members of law enforcement and other witnesses was enough to charge Casey with the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The news came just a few short hours after Casey’s attorney Jose Baez held a press conference at his Kissimmee law office.

Jail officials said Casey will spend the night inside the Female Detention Facility at the Orange County Jail where she was previously incarcerated.

Casey again will be held in “Protective Custody Level One” in a cell by herself without any other inmate contact.  She is not eligible for bond.

Casey Anthony Charged With First-Degree Murder In Daughter’s Death

The Orange County grand jury indicted Casey Anthony on a total of seven counts: First-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of false statements to law enforcement

A first-degree murder charge means the grand jury believed the act to be premeditated. The punishment for such a charge is the death penalty or life in prison and no chance for parole.

Sources close to the Anthony family told Eyewitness News that Casey may choose to represent herself on the first-degree murder charge. Doing so would allow her to use taxpayer money to help pay for portions of the investigation. Attorney Jose Baez could remain available to her as a consultant.

Casey Anthony In Custody

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Casey Anthony was in custody Tuesday afternoon following an indictment on capital murder charges handed up by a grand jury less than an hour earlier

Casey Anthony was in handcuffs when she was led into the Orange County Sheriff’s Office around 4:40pm.

The Orange County grand jury indicted Casey Anthony on a capital murder charge Tuesday in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The indictment was to remain sealed until Casey Anthony was under arrest. At that time, the specific charges will be released. Eyewitness News is awaiting that release and will have the details posted on WFTV.com as soon as we obtain them.

The indictment paved the way for sheriff’s deputies to arrest Casey and send her back to jail. She had been out on house arrest on child neglect charges and check fraud charges. The check fraud charges are in an unrelated case.

Casey Anthony Indicted!! Charges Sealed Until Her Arrest

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Grand Jury indicted Casey Anthony on a capital count Tuesday in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The indictment has been sealed until Casey Anthony is taken into custody. At that time, the charges will be released

The indictment paves the way for sheriff’s deputies to arrest Casey and send her back to jail. She has been out on house arrest on child neglect charges and check fraud charges. The check fraud charges are in an unrelated case.

Caylee Anthony was reported missing by Casey earlier this summer, a month after Caylee first disappeared. Investigators said Casey has insisted she left the child with a babysitter and claims the babysitter must have Caylee.

However, deputies have not found that babysitter. They did find evidence in Casey’s car that shows Caylee Anthony’s decomposing body was in it. Caylee’s body has never been found.

Casey Anthony’s lawyer conceded earlier Tuesday that it was likely the grand jury would return some sort of indictment against his client in connection with the death of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office Detective Yuri Melich, who has served as the lead investigator for the case, was the final witness and the Grand Jury began deliberations around 3:00pm. They returned from their deliberations less than an hour later.
