George and Cindy Anthony will be holding a news conference Friday about their search for their missing granddaughter Caylee .
On Thursday FOX 35’s Shannon Butler asked George about Friday’s new conference. He would not give any details and would not talk on camera, but on Wednesday he told Shannon about Caylee, “She is alive we have been saying that all along.”
But cops had plenty to say Thursday afternoon saying the announcement is just smoke and mirrors. “I would question why they did not do it earlier. if they have reason to believe the child is alive and they are so convinced that they are holding a newser why then bring this to law enforcement why wait days or weeks to present the evidence to police I would question that,” said Sgt. Carlos Padilla from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office .
But the family is keeping it out there, the possibility, even if small, that Caylee could still be alive.
Searches by a bounty hunter, Texas Equusearch and cops have not turned up the body of the little girl and some question if the family keeping hope alive may be enough to put reasonable doubt in the jury’s mind. “When this goes to trial the jury is going to see all the evidence. There is evidence I still have not seen myself, but for the grand jury to have indicted her it must be compelling evidence and they are confident they can take this to a trial,” said Padilla.
The Anthony’s have not yet released the details of there announcement.

Logical, you made a great point on the other thread about how Negime could have redone the anthonys hole image if they would have let him he knew what he was doing but they want to do things there way, and there way is going to get them in a cell next door to casey!

Did you all see the pic on the new thread that they think is Caylee? No way. The eyes are similar but thats not her nose at all. With the press this case has gotten theres no way someone would have her out in a public play place like that, just no way…
I went back and looked and they were talking about going to Casey boyfriend and Cnn back in August. That is so strange to me.

Thanks Andie~I agree. I don’t think so either. I think we can see something that resembles Caylee in alot of toddlers………but no, I’m with ya on that one.
I looked at the pictures and while there is a resemblance I don’t think it is close enough. But…look in the background at the little girl in the striped shirt. That looks like it could be Caylee.
They should check both of these kids out and while at it round up all the girls at the mall and see if any of them are Caylee.
I would be so upset if I were a parent and someone suspected my child were Caylee and rather than talk to me just forwarded the picture along and then suddenly I had it plastered all over the place.

Well, I won’t hold my breath, or go to bed early, or be really excited to jump on here when I get up in the morning to here George and Cidny’s news conference. Who do they think they are kidding? Now even Nejame thinks Caylee is deceased. Local 6 said that. So?
They are getting REALLY pathetic and sad. Makning fools of themselves as if they needed to do something else to prove that. I am really beginning to feel very very sorry for them because it’s over. They are reaching. That’s it

There is no press confrence nor in my oppion was there ever one planned to begin with. This was all spin on the Anthony’s part to once again to play games & control the media spotlight to try & get their psycho daughter ot of jail. I was at the Florida Mall yesterday & there were tons of little girls playing & getting ready to meet with Santa for the Holidays, so get with it George & cindy Anthony, your beloved granddaughter is gone & you can thank that piece of trash sitting on her ass doing nothing about it.

I’ve been waiting all week to find out what these attention hungry a-holes have to say to make me really believe this kid is alive. Something that they obviously could not tell the police (probably because its not true). I wouldn’t be surprised if these crazy people paid some guy to act like he took a picture of Caylee at the mall when in fact its likely and old picture they had.
Who would kidnapp a child and while its the hottest news in your state….take that child to the mall???? Honestly…..are we really supposed to believe that this is her?
I wouldn’t be surprised if they found a loop hole in the system and are trying to put as much reasonable soubt out there as they can so Casey wont get convicted and then afterwards they announce where the body is and becuase she already went through the trial they can’t re-convict her or something like that.
George Anthony a cop. Cops know how the judicual system works. Their jack crap lawyer probably helped them scheme this up which is why they have been back pedeling from their original statements.
And these people that are so sure she is alive have said a time or two that they know what happened and are certain Caylee is alive. So if that is true why wouldn’t you give all the information that you can to the police to help get her back?
These people are playing a sick sick game with all of America. They don’t care about Caylee & Casy sure doesn’t care about Caylee. They all care about the fame and fortune that will come from all of this.
