ORLANDO, Fla. — Detectives are leaving Florida Tuesday to search for missing Caylee Anthony as the child’s mother remains jailed. An Orange County Sheriff’s Department official confirmed to Local 6 that investigators will be talking with possible witnesses outside the state for clues into the whereabouts of the child.
The move comes after the 3-year-old’s mother, Casey, was arrested, for a third time.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies took Anthony, 22, into custody Monday as she visited the jail to meet with her case manager about other charges.
Detectives have said lab tests show Caylee’s decomposing body was in her mother’s car, and Anthony is their only “person of interest” in the girl’s disappearance.
42 Police Calls Since July 15
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office call log shows officers have been called to the Anthony home 42 times since July 15.
Deputies said 38 of the calls have been for disturbances, including a scene over the weekend when a mother brought her young children to the Anthony home late night.
During the incident, a 9-year-old’s arm was slammed in a car door.
The Department of Children and Families is investigating the child’s injury and why he was at the Anthony home at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Neighbors said aggressive protesters are becoming a safety hazard. The home owner’s association filed an injunction to try to keep the protesters away from the neighborhood. A judge could rule this week. About 100 families are expected to meet Tuesday night at a HOA meeting to discuss what options they have concerning the protesters.

FOX 35’s Executive Producer Nicole Wolfe spoke with Leonard Padilla Tuesday morning. He is the celebrity bounty hunter that helped post Casey’s $500,000 bond when she was initially arrested.
Padilla says investigators from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office will fly to California to speak with him and his associates about their time spent with Casey while she was at home.

Specifically, Padilla says they will probably be interested in the story Casey told him about Caylee’s mysterious babysitter, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.
“She told us that she had gone to J. Blanchard Park and that Zenaida had taken the baby away from her and that Zenaida and her sister drove off in a silver 2008 Ford Focus model,” Padilla said.
Padilla says Casey added that Zenaida gave her a list of things to tell police for the next 30 days and scripted a statement for her.
“I don’t believe any of it,” Padilla said.
Casey told investigators in a sworn statement that the last time she saw her daughter was when she dropped her off at the steps leading to Zenaida’s apartment.
Police determined that the apartment had been vacant for months and that no one with the babysitter’s name had ever leased in the apartment complex.

That is what I read last night too. Padilla said on Nancy Grace that the detectives should also be talking to Mark Hawkins, Casey’s high school friend. He said that if Casey would admit anything to anyone it might be him. It would be a good time for a face to face interview.
And they probably want a written statement from Padilla what Casey told him about the Zenaida story and the script.
What I don’t get, if there was a script, which I don’t believe in a minute, but if there was, and she was told to stay with the script for 30 days. Well, it was 31 days when Cindy found Casey. So I don’t think Casey was going to tell anyone anything. Casey would have still been hanging out at Tony’s if Amy hadn’t taken Cindy to where Casey was. SO why didn’t she call her mom on the 30th day and begin her script???

Agreed but if the car she left at Amscot had finally been towed on the 30th-well she of course passed by this location knowing the car was gone-so she probably knew her time was running out before her parents were informed of the abandoned car. I think she is cold and calculating she might not have known exactly when but she surely was probably knowing time was of the essence after the 30th when the car was removed from said lot. Then she and her mom cryptically communicate via myspace blogs to each other shortly thereafter–I am sure each read what the other had typed.

i think she was definatly on some kind of drugs her eyes dont look right in most of her party pics and most of these checks im sure she made over for cash like at winddixie and places like that that is the oldest scam for drug addicts,now i dont know what she was using
her past actions truly aren’t an excuse in my mind. today she has a choice and can make better choices(again) to tell the truth. the facts are….a little girl is missing, her own mother claims she doesn’t know where she is, and no one has brought her home.
I think if drugs were her problem, she’d be looking like hell, not fresh as a daisy as in her mug shot.

i agree, she also would have had some serious withdrawal issues. The only withdrawals I am afraid she is suffering from is partying and sex. But it sounds like she isn’t suffering too much from lack of the latter, if the news is correct.
I had a long drive this morning, time to think (uh oh!) and I want to ask you all, if you could write an open letter to Casey, what would you say?
I would write a book coming from me personally, because I am a single mother of a wonderful son. But if I were her mother or father Right NOW, I would tell her to imagine herself in caylee’s shoes right now. No mother, no family and no friends as she new it. How frightening.

A sad thought is that Casey doesn’t look like she on drugs..but it looks like Cindy. I’m sure her doctor has given something for anxiety. There is a pic floating out there of Cindy hammering post in the ground and she looks up—she looks like a broken women. When I saw this pic I truly felt for her. Her mind can not except what people are saying..and she can not except Caylee being dead. I really feel she is a broken women living in a make believe world. A world her daughter force her into.

I tend to disagree with the “drug” theory…The money (checks and such) that she stole from Amy, isn’t that much if you are on your own (at Tony’s) and making it look like you are employed…buying groceries, going out…fast food…maybe clothes and such….I think if it was drugs, she’d need alot more money for that….I don’t know much about drugs, or drug users…but hypothetically, if she were on drugs the whole time, wouldn’t her whole world come crashing down around her when she sobered up and was faced with the reality of what’s going on….

I think with the checks and stuff…she got to the point where she feels invinsible…there has been no reaction to her actions so far…All the things we are hearing from her past don’t seem to have been an issue until now…she’s gotten away with it…so it probably never occured to her that she’d get charged by Amy…she figured she’d escape any punishment…

we could say that some 20-22 year olds are still experimenting with life. But the MASS majority of 20-22 year old single mothers don’t misplace their children. Drugs are not an excuse. She has had plenty of sobering time to think about it. She started with one lie that has snowballed into a million lies to everyone around her. I think for her parents; they trusted her to a point and then it dawned on them. And now they are devastated.
Too bad her parents did not call cops42 times in the past on Casey , Maybe this( Caylee’s Death) would not have happpened.

yeah, i agree, don’t think it was drugs. One oz. bag of weed costs close to $300 and wouldn’t last very long with the way she parties, so I don’t think she stole anywhere enough to support a serious drug habit. Maybe a few groceries, some gas, some weed and a few drinks, and of course, a nice bottle of chloroform.. but I’d think that would be about the extent of it.

If she had her parents believing for over 2 years that she worked at Universal, she had to been getting money from someone other than stealing from her parents. Probably why she changed friends so often. She moved on to diffierent victims.

Does anyone know how long she had been stealing money from Cindy? It was my understanding that it was just durning the time she was gone (30 days). That was just way too much money, for Cindy to have let her keep spending & spending for months! If she had been stealing from her friends in the past, I think she would of had past charges. Casey probably used drugs in the recreational sense, not the addiction sense. As far as the alligators go, why would they be interested in a decomposing body for food? I’ve heard that it is highly unlikely that an alligator would have eaten Caylee’s body or any dead body. Hope this puts that idea to rest. Just think about it some. The alligators would rather have fresh food. Besides, why would prissy Casey want to dredge through misquito infested swamps to be rid of Caylee?
In Baez’s world am I to assume if they weren’t arresting her, and charging her with these “economic” charges…LE would refund this excess money that they’ve used to the taxpayers? I hate when people use the quote “taxpayer’s money” for a lack of anything else to get you fired up about!

Do any of you remember a news bite of Cindy Anthony saying that – ’she had called police and that they had more than enough time to respond to her but had not; and now they were too late, that she had washed the clothes and they were folded and put away. And if they wanted to see them – too bad if they did not get any evidence.’ — This was about the same time that she allowed cameras into the lilttle girls room. It’s possible the clip showed on Fox – but it was early in the coverage. I have looked but not found it again. Anyway, was almost a taunt – ‘ I told you and you didn’t come when I said and now — too bad’ That would be a problem, wouldn’t it? She would have ‘known’ what she was doing and not just a confused mom?

I highly doubt that LE would leak false information. Just because Baez talked to someone at the body farm said the results weren’t in, doesn’t mean they aren’t.
LE isn’t going to turn over their evidence to the defense until they have to. Why should they give them an abundant amount of time to find someone to poke holes their evidence.
Do you think if Baez had any evidence to defend Casey he would show his hand before it was actually his turn to play out his cards? Nope. What if he talked Casey into taking an independant lie detector test. Do you think he would release the results, nope.

Maybe there is a chance that someone did in fact kidnap her child and Casey actually killed someone linked to her childs disppearance. Just a thought but it could take another weird twist. Anything seems possible at this point. Also it seems that the police are now looking in other states for the child so maybe there are real leads.

And as for the results I heard from more than one DNA expert on various shows that it doesnt take this long that they have everything back already they are just making sure everything is in its place that is why jose baez is nervous he wants them to rush. OMG, this Padilla guy would say anything to stay relevant to this saga. He is annoying the hell out of me, really! Seems like everyday he would come up with something new. If he is that concern about finding Caylee, why doesn’t he spill it out in one sitting. The guy just loves the attention as much as we say Casey Anthony loves the attention.
I would not be surprised that one day we’ll find Caylee’s remains inside one of Florida’s aligators…has anyone ever thought of that? That is if the gators eat rotten & decomposed bodies. She even said so on the police interview tape that they’ll never find her. Read between the lines, folks, read between the lines…
I’ve been reading some on it and I believe it a gator would basically ignore a lifeless body, especially in decomp. From what I gather, they attack moving humans out of fear or taking their movements as a threat. A human in decomp simply wouldn’t appeal to them. It would appeal to other wildlife though. If a gator did take her body, it would most likely take her and stash her underwater to be consumed later. If this is what happened there is still the possibility of finding some bones, but larger ones, such as the skull (now I feel sick and I”m sorry I typed that and you’re reading it). The possibility of finding the clothes she was wearing is also good. That’s why I’m curious over the follow up on the clothing found the other day.
Now, if I were a Judge, and if it was legal to do so, I would order Casey to get her uterus completely removed, so she can’t produce anymore “unwanted” children into this world. Then she can party until the cows come home, if she doesn’t get life in prison first. Just my two cents!!!

I know this sounds totally crazy but when I first heard that she had been near the airport I thought, surely she wouldn’t pack the babies body up and have it flown to another destination to be picked up by someone else……I know it sounds nuts, but that thought entered my mind.
