ORLANDO – Cindy Anthony, the grandmother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, got into a shouting and swearing match Saturday night with protesters who called her daughter, Casey, a baby killer.
The child of one of the protesters appeared to be hurt when his arm got caught in a car door by his mother as they went to leave.
The protesters appeared to come onto the Anthonys’ property, screaming and cursing, while Cindy was trying to post “No Trespassing” signs that had been torn down earlier.
Cindy’s husband, George Anthony, called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.

Orange deputies respond to altercation at Anthony home
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an altercation between protesters and the grandmother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony at her residence on Hopespring Drive on Saturday night, but said no charges have been filed against either party.
The call was in reference to a disturbance between Cindy Anthony and several protesters who had assembled outside the residence in east Orange County, said Jim Solomons, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Solomons said deputies quickly resolved the incident, which occurred about 11:30 p.m.
No report was filed in reference to the incident, and it did not appear that any of the parties involved in the disturbance filed a complaint, Solomons said.

It seemed that no one cared that he was hurt. He shouldn’t have been there anyways… But even so. If my son were hurt in ANY way, my attention would have went from the Anthony case RIGHT to my child. That wasn’t right at all.

She then lets go of him and walks over to the psycho, trespassing, lunatic woman! These protesters are disgusting!!! This one just takes the cake though! I hope someone from child protective services sees this video!!! No one even bothers with the boy – they don’t even look over at him, while he is screaming!!! WTF????

Cindy’s attorney appears not to be teaching Cindy to hush up and not listen to what people are saying. And Geesh that poor little boy. Shame on the mother. I agree with everyone here.

When Cindy says at the end that she has 3 people out looking for Caylee, do you think she means a live Caylee, or a body?
I believe I read on another site, where people seemed to be keeping track of every move, that Casey left home yesterday. Friday she was home and Baez was out of town. Remember when he came to the house late in the evening? Whatever her activities are have to be preapproved by the home confinement people.
I feel soo bad for that little boy…..he was screaming in pain and then falls on the floor in pain….after watching it a couple of times it looks kind of silly. Nancy, I read some things about blowflies. Couldn’t handle for long the visuals it created. Remember when Cindy talked about the maggots “from the pizza?” No wonder LE talked about evidence of decomposition! Sounds to me like they will have plenty of forensic evidence.
And I don’t want to continue to think about this. That beautiful, trusting, innocent little child….
Logical – I told you that it was gonna gross you out!!! When Cindy kept saying maggots and flies – that’s all I could think about!!! DECOMP!!! I am sure they have alot more evidence than they are releasing. I think it’s part of their strategy to release stuff in trickles….. it’s keep the public on their side, and let’s them know they are doing their job – but also keeps pressure on Casey……. ( I know it doesn’t seem like she responds to pressure, but, it keeps up her story telling, and limits her options to that “story” – sooner or later, she’ll slip up – no one is THAT GOOD!!)
There is absolutely no excuse in the world for these people protesting to bring their children. Children are so impressionable and with the size of this boy, who knows what “scars” he will carry.
Cindy and George, however, following them out into/across the street was just ridiculous. I truly believe they “feed” off the attention (making they more defiant and determined to stick by Casey because it’s too unbearable to accept what has really happened to little precious Caylee.)
Don’t know much about HOA’s (because I don’t live in one and certainly don’t want to – too many restrictions,) but, I hope for the sake of the other residents, they are successful in stopping [at least] some of this protesting.
On a lighter note (and back to my many comments about where the money is coming from), it never ceases to amaze me how many different colored tee-shirts Cindy has with the butterfly photo of Caylee. This one’s blue, I’ve seen pink, white, I believe yellow…and the slogan on this particular tee still troubles me a little…

Still holding onto the theory (and hope) that LE is a “heckofalot” smarter and farther along in the investigation that what many give them credit for.
Maybe it’s been discussed before (just too many comments and threads to go searching), but could LE be holding off until Casey actually goes to trial on some of these “smaller” charges, in hopes of getting her behind bars, before they formally charge her with murder?
There’s no question she is going to be found guilty and receive some type of sentence on the lesser charges (especially if the courts are just as disguisted as the public is of her actions.) Once she incarcerated for them, then there would be no chance of bailing her out on formal murder charges.

I just wanted to let you know that although I don’t comment .. I’m following this blog on a daily basis and grateful to those of you taking the time to update it.
I am not a mother .. but, in no way can understand the way Casey is behaving. I go back & forth with her parents .. being from a family with a mother who did not have “unconditional love”, it is hard for me to understand that aspect. I swear that my parents, while not abusive parents, would have beat it out of me.
I agree that the whole protester situation is ridiculous and pointless .. I would hate to live in that neighborhood. The situation with the little boy brings me back to the times when there were the demonstrations before Roe vs. Wade .. I could never understand why the protesters brought their children (they would have them run through the legs of the opposing protesters .. it was horrible).
I do hope the Anthony’s attorney is able to help them come to terms with the whole terrible ordeal .. as, I do believe they are in denial at this point. .. and that is a partial explanation for the behavior.
OMG I just watch that disgraceful video. Those people are trailer trash. They totally ignore that little boy that had his arm slammed in the door. I hope someone reported there license plate and the police see this video.

Here’s a possible theory:
Jose Baez tells cindy and George if they ever want to find out what happened to caylee they had better be 100% supportive of casey. Regardless. The expert stated that in order for casey to talk it had to me all about casey and nothing about caylee or casey would shut down. Maybe George and cindy already know this and confronting the protesters is just a strategy to prove to casey that they support her. Just a thought.
Have they mentioned any more about the bones they found last week? I was just thinking that maybe they are Caylee’s bones that’s why they called off the search..Cindy need’s to stay away from the people that are protesting out in front of her house, but it seems to me she just can’t stay away from the cameras..This is really getting out of hand, and sooner or later someone will get hurt bad, And that woman that let her boy get hurt she need’s to be slapped she never even picked him off the ground that I saw, this is not helping in no way with this case..they need to calm down..

Who’s paying for the body guards? I bet they got alot of money from20/20..and I bet it’s in Lee’s name..I do believe tha Lee is involved with this, and he is helping casey, and the family is trusting in him to get them all out of this, he looks to me like a very mean and violent person..I believe that he is very involved in this clean up of Caylee, and that he helped Casey get rid of the body..
Thanks Nancy! I only thought of that because I too am back and forth between sympathy and disgust. I’m waiting for someone to poke some holes for me so that too can be scratched off the list. It’s just something that would explain away their seeming like they simply don’t care about Caylee. I don’t believe that and the more I think about that possiblity the more I think the protesters are soooo in the way. If it is true then how difficult must it be for Cindy to attack them when really she wants to embrace them or have them embrace her. I think right now I could just give Cindy a hug. It is unimaginable for me that Cindy and George are so focused on Casey that they have lost sight of Caylee.

Here in Dayton, Ohio we are getting the results of the hurricane. Our winds are only 35 (gusting higher), but there are trees down everywhere in my plat, shingles flying off the roofs (including mine), siding laying everywhere, power going on and off. I can not even fathom in a million years how Galveston and Houston felt!
I am just truly grateful yourturn and his family are safe and that there were few lives lost in this mess.
It is also a very good theory about George and Cindy’s behavior. I just wish for the neighbor’s sake that the circus could be stopped in their neighborhood.
Truth (I believe) is going to eventually prevail here. Sadly, I am unsure if anyone will ever recover little precious Caylee’s remains, but nonetheless, I beileve monster Casey will be doing some serious time.
It looks like the people living next to the anthonys are moving….I saw one of those big POD containers parked in the driveway.
I have a sense that LE has pretty much all they need and are just fine tuning it all to get it ready for the prosecuters. Just my sense of things.

I have had plenty if car and kitchen disasters in my day, but never has anything that’s died in my house or car attracted blowflies or even gotton maggoty. The whole “flies and maggots” aspect is such a red flag for decomposing flesh of some kind.
So sad.
I think there is something to the comments about Casey’s attorney convincing Cindy & George to be “supportive” if they want her to talk. And I think it’s a good idea for Cindy & George to have attorneys, since I would not be the least bit surprised if at some point, Casey tries to make it look like her mother or father had something to do with Caylee’s disappearance.
I mean, they messed up her whole fantasy by dragging the police into this in the first place, right? So it’s all her mother’s fault anyway that she’s in jail in her eyes. Plus who knows what she might have told them in all this time together.
I finally got the 911 calls straight & heard the first one from the car – wow. Casey in the background begging for one more day…

2shado, we are talking about the possibility that Cindy and George don’t really believe Casey and that they are “playing along” in hopes she will talk. Even to the extent that they must defend her to everyone, including the protesters.
I think Cindy is the type of person who has to have the last word or she really feels she has to defend her daughter because if her daughter is found guilty of killing Caylee she will take that as a reflection of herself since she raised casey. I don’t think she does it because she really believes casey is innocent.
Nah. Baez doesn’t care if cindy and george find out what happened. The only way Casey will open up is if she’s drunk. That’s just my 2 cents
I think cindy just needs to vent doesn’t matter who is the receiver of her anger. I’m surprisewd she (and george) haven’t gone off the ‘deep-end’ and got into serious blows. Actually under the circumstances I think they are quite contained.

J2 I see you got the link & heard the “real” 1st 911 call while she was driving Casey home from Tony’s. And Casey in the background all sounding like a kid caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Man.
Cindy & George definitely did not believe Casey in the beginning. Why would they? Cindy had been on the phone with several of her friends telling the not to believe her, not to talk to her, unraveling so many lies. Little did they know! So they didnt’ believe her at first. Not even when the cops were there doing interviews, and George told the detective he thought Casey was holding back information. At that point, they did not believe her.
Why they would actually believe her now – it seems impossible. Just more lies upon lies upon lies. Certainly nothing has happened that would give any reason to restore trust at this point! So either they are in total denial and really believe her – or they are playing along with the whole “poor Casey” act hoping she will lead them to Caylee.
They need to just put portable sprinklers along the street and when they are there they should turn them on. These people are so wrong they need to have a protesters blog to vent , I get there frustrated we all are however they just don’t know boundries. Some rude people are like that. They are socially inept.
Can a mother (Cindy) really process this stuff?

I thinkd so too Kat. I’ve tossed around the idea that LE or Jose Baez let the Anthony’s know that the only way they would find Caylee is to make Casey think they were only on her side and that Caylee is an afterthought at best. I don’t remember when the shift was made from “find my granddaughter” to “leave my daughter alone” was made but I suspect it was after the couple hour visit to LE by Cindy and George.

This video had it all. I can’t believe this is actually real. We’ve got skinny hip-baby mom, husky cigarette mom, trying to be tough kid, a shirtless tattoo guy – and, as always, Cindy’s poofy hair. I’ve never seen a person in such distress always have such nice looking hair…like she just got back from the salon.
On a serious note, this entire thing has gone way past being out-of-hand. Why don’t the Anthony’s lawyers tell them not to go out on the lawn for ANY reason? Cindy reminds me of when I was a kid and would be mad at my mom or dad for whatever insane reason. I’d go to my room, (SLAM) goes the door. UP goes the boombox – play the most filthiest lyric, the most hideous sounding song I could manage out of my CD collection.
If I got no response…I’d go further. Leave the room, go get something out of the fridge. SLAM that door. SLAM down a coke can and glass. BASH down the trash can lid. Stomp around the kitchen. Stomp through the living room – so my parents could SEE how mad I was – then go back to my room where I would rinse and repeat the above steps until I finally got a response.
I agree with the poster who said that Cindy has to have the last word. But I am not sure if she is satisfied with that entirely. Why does she continue to walk out onto the lawn? I think she wants the FIRST word too!

For one, kids don’t know what a protest is all about. This kid, however, THINKS he does but he’s simply parroting his mother.
For two, bringing a kid to a protest (of ANY kind) doesn’t help matters one bit because the people you are against don’t particularly care about your children. Generally speaking, protesting in this way only makes the protestors feel better about themselves and feel that they have “done something.” It’s not like the other side is holed up in their homes/offices/government buildings and telling each other, “Uh oh, they brought out the kids. This is gonna be tough! Everybody…STAY STRONG!”
For three, too many protests end up the same way: “Eff this and eff that.” Your kid doesn’t need to hear that. I’m 28 and I have a problem with hearing “Eff” come out of the mouths of mothers!
For four, your trash talking son is liable to get mushed in the car door!
I really hope that someone does crack soon, but it doesn’t look very likely.
The protestors appear to be causing more damage than good at this point, and really, LE should now step in and put an end to this nonsense. It is creating a horrible environment for all the people that live in that neighborhood.
If you google/search on internet for Jose Baez’ law firm, he lists previous cases he’s tried, and one involved a lady who stole a baby and after 6 weeks the baby was returned, I believe this occured in 2006?? Not sure, but was it his client that took the infant? I also wonder about Baez, he appears quite “smarmy”, not b/c of his looks, but it is the smirking that he does, each time a camera shows his face, he is on verge of laughing, or so it would seem. Also, on his site it mentioned he either helps with or does lots of internet research on his client’s cases, or perhaps the clients are doing the research? That could be one reason why Casey is at his office daily for appx 6 hours, she is researching stuff for her defense??

Dead serious though I think you hit the nail on the head. Cindy has to have the first and last word.
I still suspect alot of their denial is because they did not do anything sooner to actually get guardianship of little precious Caylee and their grief over feeling “responsible” for what happed to Caylee is what is driving them to defend Casey so much. I too believe they (especially Cindy) feels this will all come back on her and her inept parenting (whether it was actually inept or not.) She does not want to be ultimately “blamed” for what happened to Caylee, but she feels “responsible” for not doing something about it sooner.
I suspect they have had problems with Casey and her parenting of little precious Caylee all along and have been threatening for quite awhile to “do something about it,” not actually believing that Casey would ever be capable to causing harm to little Caylee. Then when Cindy realized that something bad might have actually happened to Caylee (it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn trunk) she calls 9-1-1 the second time in a panic. But when they arrested Casey, Cindy went into a “defense mode” because she doesn’t want the public to blame her for her parenting skills.

Nope! She gets permission for one week at a time. This week (9/8) she was allowed the 5 days at atty’s 10-4, church on sunday and I believe that’s it. Who knows what this coming week will bring.
Why call the police if you’re not going to file a complaint. Seems a waste of taxpayers money.

I’m really curious if she actually took him to the hospital like she said she was going to. If she did I’m sure her dumb ass is naive enough to think she can sue Cindy for the bill.
2) Andrea- re: posting the signs during the day – late night is probably the only time she can walk outside without being accosted by SEVERAL psychos. Also, I can’t imagine that she’s getting much sleep at night, and posting signs sure beats laying awake thinking about her current situation.
3) I like how classy she is sitting there smoking a cigarette while the smoke’s blowing in her kids/grandkids’ faces and dropping the “f” bomb every 2 seconds. Good example there woman, you REALLY have room to criticize someone else’s parenting skills. And p.s. you ARE killing your kid with your second hand smoke you dumb b*%$#!
4) I think Cindy and George DO care about other people, and they probably ARE concerned about their neighbors’ well-being and that’s and additional reason that they’re so upset with the constant protesting. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they care LESS about caylee.
5) 2shado – re: george and cindy being “contained” – I agree, I think they have great self restraint. If I was in their shoes I DEFINITELY would have knocked someone out by now (protesters, news crew, casey, etc.)
6) I was going to respond to the fact that Cindy should stay inside by saying that she probably needs some fresh air. And then I thought, “well, she could go out back in privacy”…but THEN I thought that the backyard probably isn’t that great of a place for her considering what might have taken place there…
7) Libby- once again, I think we were seperated at birth! I noticed exactly what you did about the little kid (i.e. “Yeah, what my mom said!”) and couldn’t help but laugh – and then laughed even more when I heard your response.
And also, I’ll admit that my last round of comments were definitely pro-Cindy & George and I haven’t necessarily made up my mind about them yet (at least not completely); but I tell you what, seeing that video just made me more for them than for that ignorant piece of sh*t screaming at them. How pathetic. These hypocrites bring their children out late at night to watch their mothers in a screaming match with other people. That’s destructive to a child. I do hope someone calls child protective services. They do not need this kind of drama. Then, to boot the mother is about to go for blows and her young son gets his arm slammed in a car door and is left screaming in pain on the street with no adult paying attention to the fact that he was just hurt. How traumatizing to a child!!! Yet they stand there and ridicule and criticize while neglecting their own child’s best interests (getting to bed on time, not being subjected to adult screaming matches, watching over a child while they are in a street/around an automobile) and as a result the little boy got hurt. How absolutely traumatizing for that young boy and the other young child. How heartbreaking.
Why doesn’t someone dress as an alligator with a child hanging from its mouth and stand in front of the Anthony home. Seems like that would get their attention, maybe the sight of it would push casey over the edge?

Why does a complaint have to be filed? The hillbilly was hollering, they have her on tape, and it went on & on. She was disturbing the peace. I blame law enforcement for not shutting this situation down, and they should have recognized the potential for violence a long time ago. How soon before someone jumps the fence & breaks into the Anthonys’ home? Remember, there can be no guns in the Anthony home, so they have no real protection to deal with intruders.

If you think about it that is the only way this girl can be honest in saying she doesn’t know where the body is. If a gator takes the body you don’t know where it’s at. How she can live with herself and just smile is beyond any sickness anyone I have ever seen has. I really think she did something like this because she thinks she can get away with it.
