It’s been a week of no-shows for the Anthony’s. If it wasn’t one of the family members canceling a scheduled visit with Casey, it was Casey turning them away. Here’s another no-show for the week.
George Anthony told Eyewitness News he was supposed to meet in Oviedo on Tuesday morning with “people assisting outside the normal scope of things” and he seemed to suggest that the people are doing surveillance on kidnappers who he believes have his granddaughter.
“These people know they are being watched. They know it,” George told Eyewitness News on Tuesday morning.”Who are these people?” WFTV reporter Derrol Nail asked.”I really can’t get into that with you,” George said.”Are there people out there who can help you find these people?” Nail asked.”Yeah, you would think that the people who have my granddaughter right now would be smart enough to turn this girl back in to her family. I don’t want anymore of this going on,” he said.”You really believe that, George, with all the evidence out there to the counter?” Nail asked.”Oh, deeply. You know something? Stuff that’s out there so far, I hope I can say this as politely as I can, evidence that’s out there is circumstantial. Evidence that’s out there is being drawn up in someone’s mind. Just because some things look like it’s going in one way, it could go in a totally different way,” he said.During his time in Oviedo on Tuesday morning, he passed out shirts and fliers to random strangers who came up to him, but the person who he said he was supposed to meet in Oviedo didn’t show up.Eyewitness News asked if he has hired a private investigator and he would only say that the people who are doing the surveillance are private people who are helping him. After his brief conversation with Eyewitness News, George hit the road with a Caylee billboard in tow. He said he plans on driving it to Sanford and possibly Daytona if time allows.

I, like many, immediately took to this story. I kept searching around the internet for news and finally decided to just start collecting links here on this blog so that I could try and keep track of the story. That was three weeks ago and it has turned into quite a chore, as this site is receiving between 10 and 20 thousand visits a day. I have a full time job and unable to put the time and research into updating this site to the extent it requires.
If you are interested in updating this site with me please shoot me an email. Obviously, this pays nothing, it just helps to keep Caylee in the forefront of peoples minds in the hopes that this missing toddler will be found.

Now, forensic experts at the University of Tennessee’s Anthropology Research Facility — known on campus as the “body farm” (pictured) — have become involved in the investigation.
Air samples from the car’s trunk are currently being tested, samples from the same white Pontiac which detectives say Casey abandoned at a local AMSCOT check-cashing store. It’s also the same car in which investigators found stains, dirt and hair matching that of little Caylee.
The tests could prove whether a body was ever in the trunk for an extended period of time. Experts at the body farm know how to test for chemicals released by a decomposing body. Researchers at UT Knoxville could not say how long it would take to test the samples, but results will be turned over to Orange County detectives once complete.
In the meantime, lab technicians at the Federal Bureau of Investigations continue to process DNA sample collected from the car during the early days of the investigation.

An appeals court has denied a motion to lower the bond for the mother of a missing central Florida girl.
The 5th District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach on Monday denied Casey Anthony’s motion for a rehearing. The motion was sealed.
Anthony is being held on $500,000 bond on charges of child neglect, making false statements and obstructing an investigation. Police say she lied to them and didn’t report her daughter, Caylee, missing for more than a month.
A message left with a spokeswoman for Casey Anthony’s attorney was not immediately returned Monday afternoon.
Detectives and family members had hoped Caylee would be home by Saturday, the girl’s third birthday. She was reported missing July 15.

Cindy Anthony is now saying that reports by police stating there was no phone call to Casey Anthony on the 15th of June by someone that had Caylee, is erroneous. The police reported this weekend that according to Caseys phone records the phone call just didn’t take place. Cindy says she has a copy of Caseys phone bill that shows the phone call did take place.
