Casey claims she dropped Caylee of at the Apartment of Zenaida Gonzalez. While police were initially driving Casey around trying to find Caylee she took them to an apartment that had been vacant for almost 5 months. The apartment manager told police the named babysitter Gonzalez had never lived in the complex.
The apartment complex the said they had a Zenaida Gonzales that did view an apartment on April 17th, but did not lease.
The apartments are now saying that was a handwriting error, and that a Zenaida Gonzales (according to the guest card) viewed the apartments on June 17th, which now fits this ever changing timeline of the disappearance of Caylee Anthony.
According to Police, they have not ruled out that may have been Casey viewing the apartments.

Talk to the manager of sawgrass apts. and find out who showed the apartment to Zeinaida Gonzales and what did she look like. If it was Casey, I am sure the person could indentify her.
If it was not Casey then get a sketch artist to do a composite based on the description. Also, get a handwriting expert to compare the messy handwriting with Caseys writing. Even if it was messy and written quickly, it would still be distiguishable as Caseys. Then you could find out for sure if Casey is actually posing as Zeinaida Gonzales. Also, the phone number that was written has got to be a clue as well. Who did it belong to last? Even if it were not in service, it belonged to someone at some time right?

In my opinion, the police have already shown the pictures of Casey to the apartment managers. The police have alot of evidence they are not releasing.
I am hoping you can help me out with something. George stated he was not living at the house and I think had filed for divorce. I find it odd that in the interview last night , the Anthony’s acted as if he was living there and he had asked Casey a couple of questions on a certain date.
Also, Cindy mentioned on Geraldo’s show “She did not want to lose another one”. There was a report earlier that Casey had given another child up for adoption and he would be five years old. I have not heard anymore about this . Was Cindy talking about that or did she mean , I have lost Caylee and she did not want to lose another meaning Casey?
This case is so bizarre and a beautiful angel is still missing.

I just want the truth to all of it to come out so I can stop reading all the reports all the time. I am consumed with the case because the little girl is so adorable and I have such a hard time figuring out why Casey was so irresponsible with such a precious gift from God. She is obviously a very disturbed girl.
I had not heard about the child given up for adoption so can’t help with that.
George and Cindy are in total denial. I do not think they were involved but I do think they should take some credit for the monster they helped to create by being such lousy parents. I have two kids myself and you better believe that at least 3 people knew the names and numbers and addresses of anyone taking care of my kids for any reason.
There is a sadness in my heart because I really believe that Casey killed that little girl and I can’t for the life of me figure out how she can just smile and act like everything is Ok.
I hope we find the real answers soon……
I say the Police need to a few things to speed this along.
#1 Release her to her parents and keep a cop with in 500ft of Caylee 24hrs. to monitor.
Casey must help find Caylee without stopping.
The CSI must drill Casey until they get more clues and evidence.
Then take Casey and throw her back in jail.
If they find that Caylee is dead / give casey the death penalty
If they find she is alive “god i hope” Then they should give Caylee up for adoption to better parents.
And book Casey for more charges.
I pray for Caylee. People need to relize children are gifts from god. They are little innocent children who need Love and guidence. My child has taught me so much. Children are our bright little futures of life. Appreciate what god has given you. Hug your child today and say thankyou.

My heart also breaks for Casey, as it is pretty clear at this point that there is a mental health issue involved here. Maybe she has what in commonly referred to as multiple personality and really has no recall or her other personalities. The girl may actually have no idea what has happened to the child. Honestly.
There’s two tragedies involved her, Caylee and Casey.
I think Casey is so calm because she knows what she did with the child and that she believes there is not any chance of finding the body. I see Casey as totally self absorbed … not as a tragedy …the tragedy here is only Caylee.
Bubbles, get real. Multiple personalities? Looks like she wants to dance and party all the time. If she had to steal the gas, where is she getting the money to go to the nightclubs? How naive her parents must be, to think that she’s been working all those long hours, and has little or no money? George said that he saw them leave together on the 16th of June at around 1PM, while he was watching TV. She would not let him get a tool out of her car. Many questions about her lifestyle, like did she just hang out sleeping in her bedroom every morning. Who would get up and feed Caylee? If Casey is out partying all night, where was her daughter? Mental health is not an issue. She’s lied and lied and lied about everything. I bet she even lied to her mother about who the baby’s real father is. Oh yeah, he moved to another state, and started his own family….right….he just died, too? Bet he’s a married guy, still living in the Orlando area.
This girl is a POS, and doesn’t deserve to be a mother.
I’m so glad that the high school girls are all getting pregnant and having bablies too young. Their parents are enablers, and letting their daughters go through with the pregnancies, so THEY should be held accountable when the daughters don’t want to babies anymore. Why wasn’t Cindy babysitting?
I think mental health is an issue here but there has never been much evidence for the existence of multiple personalities and they are extremely rare…it seems more likely that Casey has antisocial personality disorder which is commonly known as a sociopath…this type of disorder is consistent with the lies, and the stealing and most importantly, the complete lack of remorse or concern for Caylee…the investigator who interviewed Casey noted that she was laughing at times and showed little concern for her daughter…this doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t be held accountable for her actions but it does help explain some of her behaviors…I believe that the law usually looks at whether or not the person could tell the difference between right and wrong and in the case of a person with antisocial pd they can tell the difference, they just don’t care about it.
I pray that I’m wrong and that the little girl is safe somewhere, but I think Casey is guilty of a lot more than she’s currently being charged with…and I’m pretty sure the grandmother knows something and is trying to hide it…You can tell in the interviews that Cynthia Anthony is trying to cover something up…
The whole situation is bizarre. You should have to take a test to be a parent.
I’ve been following this case. It really seems that Casey Anthony is hiding the fact that she murdered her daughter. How I see this case is that Casey got in new relationship and she started dating her new boyfriend. She felt deep down inside that Caylee was in her way and most likely killed her.
She obviously has some mental illness and she is a sociopath, crazy lady to do this.
I don’t understand it… but it happens unfortunately in our society.
How could anyone hurt a poor 2 year old? Casey why didn’t you just give your child up for adoption?
I belive in adoption… their are so many families that are mentally healthy and want to raise a wonderful child as their own.

According to Cindy, the name Z. F-G was discussed in the house, but nobody ever saw her for 2 years. Wouldn’t Caylee talk about this babysitter to Cindy and George? Children this age talk about all the people in their lives. If their was a babysitter Caylee talked about her! Well Cindy?
I don’t think Casey killed Caylee on purpose, I think it was some sort of accident. I do feel there must be some sort of mental health issue involved, though, because a normal parent would have called 911 instead of concocting this totally bizarre story.
This story has me completely enthralled, and I feel completely guilty. Guilty, because I am giving Casey exactly what she wants. Attention.
They just released information that on the 16th she called her parents and friends right after the other every other minute. This lasted for about 2 hours and then stopped. Then it started back up the next day when she borrowed the shovel from her neighbor. My thoughts, she left Caylee in the car while she went to do God knows what and when she came out, Caylee was dead. She panicked and frantically called her family for advice. I too believe that her mother is as crazy as she is. Their are no tears in her interviews either. She borrowed the shovel, stole the gas and disposed of little Caylee like she was trash to be thrown away. It might have been an accident, but it has turned into a HUGE web of lies for her.
I agree with zbunny, my nephews CONSTANTLY talk about their babysitter and they have only been going to her for a few weeks. Kids talk about their caregivers.
I am beginning to think that Casey killed Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales, either by accident or intentionally, and her parents helped her hide the body. Maybe they all became paranoid that Caylee would be removed from the home once they were caught, and they tucked Caylee away somewhere ’safe’ until all this blew over. I just can’t figure out why else the family is able to stay so composed in front of the cameras. Sure, maybe Casey is a sociopath, but my mom would be hysterical and in tears 100% of the time if anything happened to my son…so how is this grandma able to keep it together for interviews if she was so close to Caylee, and she believes Caylee is in danger? Even if grandma knew Caylee was gone, and she was just trying to cover for her daughter, she is not showing a whole lot more emotion (panic, fear, agony, etc.) than her daughter Casey..
Also had a question…I read in either the Orlando Sentinel or on My Fox Orlando that grandpa said during his Greta Van Susteren interview that he found the gas cans in Casey’s car on the same day he reported them missing – June 24th. If this is true, does that mean that Casey was regularly appearing at her parents house without Caylee between June 15th and June 24th?? Once again, something’s not right here…I also really need all the pieces to come together soon, because I am becoming way too obsessed with this case…
Does anyone have any thoughts on why it has taken so long for the CSI team to search inside the Anthony’s house? I can’t imagine they had a hard time justifying probable cause for the search warrant! Seems they are being almost too conservative in their investigative efforts…
I have been staying with this story since I first heard about it. I have 3 kids of my own and know how privileged I am to be their mother. I cannot understand people who abuse/neglect children! There are many posts above about “mental illness” being a factor and the way Casey acts. I would be crazy if one of my kids was missing! There is not a bush on the earth I wouldn’t look under, not a door I wouldn’t break down to find my child! My one mission would be to find my child! I imagine I will be the same when/if I become a grandmother. I would not be able to focus on anything else. Watching the grandmother, Cindy, reminds me of an in-law of mine who lies, lies, lies. 99.999% of EVERYTHING she says is a lie. She shows no remorse when something bad happens, no sympathy towards others and only rehashes bad stories/news of tragedies as a way to get attention for herself. I think we all know someone like that. Just plain crazy. THis whole family sounds nuts to me! I hope and pray the truth comes out soon and this precious little girl is found alive and well. THen I hope the state takes her away and puts her in a better home.

I have a 3 year old granddaughter and she goes to daycare while her mother works. She is always talking to me about her sitter. I would have thought that caylee would have mentioned her sittler to her grandparents. My granddaughter tells me all the time things about her sitter. Things in my house my granddaughter tells me Mrs. judy has one of those. Or Mrs judy this or Mrs. judy that. I don’t have to ask her anything about Mrs judy. She talks about her often. I have not heard anything about grandma saying that caylee talked about her. It is really odd because they lived with the grandparents

I covered this case on my blog, and produced the Arrest Affidavit which contained a lot of information about the investigation (along with some other documents regarding this case).
So I knew there was a Zenaida Gonzalez who had looked at a Sawgrass apartment, and that the phone number for her on the guest card was correct because the police called her and met with her. She is definitely not Casey.
For that reason, I was a bit stunned when it came up that possibly Casey is Zenaida Gonzalez. It doesn’t really make much sense, given what is in the Arrest Affidavit. How did Casey know to associate an particular person with those apartments, when the person never lived there and the two women claim to not even know one another? And if Casey is Zenaida Gonzalez, who was the woman who spoke and met with police?
Very bizarre.
Then again, precious little in this case makes sense, so I am keeping an open mind. Thanks for posting all the updates on the case, I read them via my Google Reader and thought I should stop by to say “good job”.
Michael Peterson killed his wife and was also found guilty of killing his friends wife in Germany, years before in the same manor. I believe it was in Durham, South Carolina.

I believed and thought that Casey made up the name and did try to look at an apartment pretending to be that person. Casey has done a lot of home work on this, The name was very popular … however I can not understand why Cindy never met or even spoke with this lady. I used to pick up my grandchildren from time to time at their sitter. ???? Also I was the emergency number in case there was any problem
she knew how to reach me and I knew how to reach her … I even had emergency numbers for her family in case there was a problem. This is all Casey’s lies !!
If I were Zenaida Gonzalez i’d sue the family for all of the stress and pain and agony she is going through just because of her name. Poor lady has no clue how her name was used, it’s one of 3 ways. 1. Casey found Zenaida’s lost ID card and used her name but she waited until the right time to do so. 2. She was at the apartment complex the same time Zenaida was and possibly watched her and went behind her to get her name off of something (signature, something in Zenaida’s car that showed her name, or something else)….this would mean that Casey would have had to watch Zenaida leave her car and when she wasn’t looking, walked to her car and looked inside to see if there was something with her name on it. Or 3. Casey just chose a random name and it just so happened that there was a person with this name that stopped by the apartment complex…….I just wish the truth will come out, this stringing me along is aggrivating!!!

What I want to know is how did Casey know to take the police to Apt. 215? Zenaida said lasnight in her interview that she did go look @ the apt on the 15th. Casey had to get that info somewhere. Does she have connections with the front desk or is she just a great guesser. This Casey is a head case and she mudered her daughter. She is lying and I don’t care what anybody says. Why else would she keep making up lie after lie and not show and sorrow. I beleive her parents know that Casey has done something with Caylee, but they don’t want to face reality and are still holding on to hope. I hope and pray this little girl comes back alive..but I don’t think she will.
What if someone who worked at the apartments used Zenaida’s name and pretended to be her to get to Caylee?
Melissa, I was thinking the same thing. The fact that this woman visited the very apartment is very strange. I would want to know a few things. Has the woman they have found submitted to a poly test? If not, why? Also, have the police looked into the background of those that work at the apartment complex? I would be interested to know if any of the men that work there have any connections to casey. I know from the guys that work here where I live that it’s not hard for them to get a name from the guest book. So many lies, it’s hard to keep track with this family. Now, even the brother was on TV buying into her lies. I just saw where he told a reporter that he has talked to people that casey has mentioned (that the police say were made up). Over the past few days it seems like more and more is coming out, and casey’s days of lies may be up.
I would like to see interviews with her boy toys…
Tony…Jesse and to find out what actual physical addresses Casey was living at during all this time.
And, why is her Mother not prosecuting her for fraud in ringing up her credit cards? Have any of those reciepts been shown anywhere on web or TV?
Why not interview the girl(s) on the nightclub tapes with her and whoever was taking those videos. If her car was in impound, who was driving her around all that time? How and who was she speaking too during her THIRTY ONE day search… Where are those people she has been speaking too????
What about the neighbors surrounding the Anthony’s home..all I have seen is a babysitter there must be more people who have witnessed Caseys’s lifestyle and mothering skills…where are those people..why not interview them to see what can be uncovered? A person is not an immediate sociopath they leave a trail for sure, who else has Casey burned? What trails can be found to lead to a deeper understanding of who this woman is and what has brought her to the brink of either killing and/or losing her daughter?

gatorsfan, the Zenaida that they interviewed did not visit the same exact apartment that Casey said she was at. The Zenaida that was interviewed looked at an apartment on the 3rd floor in the back, the apartment Casey took authorities to was on the second floor and had not been used in 5-6 months……………..not to mention Casey’s interpretation is that the imaginary person she left the baby with was supposedly actually LIVING at the complex. The records at the apartment complex has no person living there with that name, only one who stopped by while looking for an apartment. Another thing is that the parents are determined to cover up the fact that Casey has done something with her daughter…….maybe you have the same mindset. Did you know that Cindy Anthony went to Casey’s car before authorities got there to search it, and she took Casey’s slacks and 2 pair of shoes out of the car before they got there. The slacks smelled like decomposition and Cindy took them in the house, washed them, and put them in Casey’s room…………………… HUMMMMMMMM sounds like mom knows more then what she’s portraying. She knows what decomposition smells like, remember she worked in that field, now why would she take the slacks and wash them and put them away before authorities had a chance to search the vehicle??????? There’s more information out then what’s being broadcasted!!!
I see Casey, as having a father as a detective,thinking she is miss smarty pants and can pull this one off.If she did not dispose of her daughter after her death,my thought is maybe she sold her on the black market for more party money. I agree with a lot of what has been said. They are(Media) now saying a possible drowning, my thoughts are Casey left Caylee sleeping in the car while she partied. I think she most likely was prostituting for drugs and time got away from her. Caylee sufficated in the car, this happens often but most people are in bars and found drunkand too late, by officers.

Zenaida Gonzales should be questioned further. It is too much of a coincidence that she had been there looking at an apartment in the same apartment building that Casey said she went to take Caylee to the sitter. Either Gonzales is involved or something is very strange. Hopefully,the FBI is still investigating the Gonzales/Casey connection. Because there has to be some connection somewhere. If the child is dead, I do not believe it would be an accident. If it were an accident Casey would have known enough to call 911, etc. If she killed her daughter and she knew it would be shown that the child was murdered (much of the time investigators can tell between an accident and a murder). Then Casey probably did everything in her power to destroy all evidence and let enough time go by to feel that there would not be enough evidence for a conviction. No, it would not be an accident. I still think that the Gonzales/Casey connection should be one of the things that should be pursued. I hope they got dirt from the bottom of Casey’s shoes also.
Why are the lab results taking so long to come in? Did they come back and were not Caylee’s DNA? Are the police now doing further testing because they do match or because they do not match?
I saw on another blog that there was a woman named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales in another county about an hour out of Orlando that reported a break in at her work and a lap top was stolen…hmmmmmm….could it have been Casey? If that Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales had personal information on that computer that could be where Casey got some good story lines from???
Since there have been a lot of high-profile missing/murdered children cases that have been botched by releasing info (correct or not) too early, I think they’re really being careful with all evidence.
I keep reading blogs about Casey having a meth problem, but have not heard it in the news. I’m sorry if I’m late in all this…but does or did she have a drug problem/addiction?
OK, how about these possible scenarios, which I havn’t seen yet:
Something happened to poor Caylee. Then Casey and accomplices had to come up with a scheme.
Here’s a possible scenario:
Casey and accomplices needed an empty apartment somewhere to to concoct a fake kidnapping story.
Casey somehow knew apt #215 was empty. Maybe one of her friends at the club she hangs out in mentioned it was for rent.
Or, perhaps the apt. was listed in the “apartments for rent” section in the local paper, or online somewhere.
Or, she and/or one of her friends has an apartment somewhere near the vacant apartment at the Sawgrass apartments.
This other apt has a view of the front door of #215. This view could be across the street, on the next street over, or in a neighboring apt complex or wherever – not necessarily at the Sawgrass.
Or, perhaps Casey and/or one her friends “staked out” that empty apartment, somewhere near there to get a good view of the front door to apt #215.
Maybe there’s a park nearby where the front door was visible from, or they parked up the street. Who knows?
Casey, or one of her friends watches the front door religiously to the empty apartment (perhaps with binoculars or a telescope), and waits until someone goes to the front door, who happens to be Zenaida Gonzalez, to view the apartment as a prospective tennant.
They watch Zenaida go back to her car after Zenaida was done looking at the apt. Then, they write the car’s license plate number down.
Casey and her cohorts pay one of their “criminal” thug friends that they buy their drugs from, or some shady characters down at the local party club, who have access to computer hackers and identity theft resources.
They find out the person’s name and address whose license plate number they wrote down who looked apt #215.
That person turned out to be Zenaida Gonzales. Casey could have been involved in an identity theft and/or stolen credit card ring. That’s how she was able to get Zenaida’s ID.
The break-in could have been related to this. Maybe, they weren’t sure which Zenaida was the one who looked at the apartment? That’s why they broke in to the office to get more info about Zenaida. It would have been too suspicious to break into Zenaida’s house, which maybe had an alarm. (Perhaps they tried to break into Zenaida’s house)
Could Caset have given Caylee up for adoption and is keeping quiet until it is finalized to prevent her parents from interfering? I know nothing about the laws regarding adoptions…do you?
I think the grandparents have adoption rights over an unknown outsider. I’m not sure though.
Besides, I think the cops would have sniffed this theory out already. Casey had lied, and lied.
Being a conniving con artist that Casey is, she wouldn’t have lied to the FBI knowing she’d get hard time. She’s been in a lot of legal trouble before for theft and credit carrd fraud.
She can get 5 years in Federal Prison for that alone for interfering with a Federal investigation!

When is Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales’ name first used by Casey in a conversation with anyone? What are George & Cindy’s occupations? What if any job has Casey ever had and when was that? Is a reference DNA sample from Caylee available? Was the parking spot in the impound yard checked for evidence of where the car might have been? What did Casey buy over the last couple of months? If Casey is a hooker was her pimp involved and now blackmailing her into silence?

It took a while, maybe, for SB to spit out his theory on how Casey came up with the name Zenaida Gonzalez, but I don’t see why there could not be some plausibility to it. The most widely held theory about it is that Casey simply walked in (legally, during business hours, no “break-in” required) and happened upon the guest card that was later dug up by the Sawgrass management and turned over to police. Casey probably would not have known one way or another whether Zenaida actually signed up for an apartment from that card, but she would have had only so much time to look into that clandestinely while in the office without raising suspicion. So she may have decided to take the chance and run with that name in case she had to provide an explanation later; either that, or she mistakenly thought the card meant that Zenaida actually had signed up for an apartment.
The part of the story SB is apparently trying to fill in is how Casey arrived at pointing to the particular apartment she referenced for investigator Yuri Melich. The connection he is making between Apartment 210 (not 215, as SB has it here) is that Casey could have supposedly seen Zenaida being shown this apartment — or at least that Casey thought so. If Casey did not actually make an appearance at the Sawgrass office (it is also possible she did without being seen by the manager, who has said she doesn’t recognize Casey), SB postulates that Casey could have gotten license plate information from Zenaida’s car and gotten her name from a computer hacker who knew how to get this information through a government database. That may be somewhat of a stretch, but it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.
Zenaida-Fernandez Gonzalez is not simply a name you pull out of your hindquarters, so it makes good sense to figure out how and why Casey came up with that name and the story behind it. So maybe we can cut SB a little slack here?
Sorry Tim – but I too find his scenario hard to believe. (and I found Lola’s response quite comical, although it did have a bit of a sting to it that was a bit unnecessary)
In order for it to be plausible, Casey would have to have an accomplice. Meaning a look out of some sort, a computer hacker, etc. Too many variables and way too many people involved. I’m sure she couldn’t have done all that by herself – and probably not the computer stuff. And if she did have help, that leaves a “loose” end, and I can’t imagine that they’ve kept quiet all this time. I also find it hard to believe that she put so much energy and thought into cooking it up. She’s not even a good liar -I can’t imagine that she’s a better investigator of sorts. I agree that she got the name, somehow, I just don’t see this scenario playing out as suggested.

Some good questions here. As to when Zenaida’s name first came up, I believe Cindy Anthony testified to having heard it before Caylee’s disappearance from Casey (at least the nickname “Zanny,” I believe) in the bond hearing. But to my knowledge Cindy is the only source who may have said that, and I’m afraid we may need to take this claim with a grain of salt.
Tony Lazarro has stated that he never heard the name Zenaida Gonzalez before the story hit the news, and likewise housemate of Tony’s and Casey’s, Clint House. However, we’ve not heard one way or another about this from Amy Huizenga or Ricardo Morales, who appear to be the people Casey had been staying with both before and after her overnight stays with Tony. (For whatever reason, mainstream media appear to have gotten it in their heads that Casey was staying with Tony until the bitter end, but that appears to be untrue, and that’s why I’ve been harping on the potential relevance of Amy’s knowledge or involvement in this case.)
As to others who might have come in contact with the name Zenaida Gonzalez, Detective Melich summarizes this way in his arrest affidavit, as amended August 5:
“Over the course of the next several weeks, myself along with several other detectives and investigators began to speak to several people who may help us find the missing Caylee or help identify Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. Detectives who spoke with people who could provide us with some information wrote supplements to this report. As of this writing, there is no one aside from the defendant herself who ever saw or spoke with the ‘nanny’ Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.”
As to some of your other questions:
* Reports are that George Anthony is a former law enforcement officer who had been recently working with a security company. In the bond hearing Cindy testified that George had recently started a new job in that field. Cindy, we’re informed, is a nurse, and evidently worked outide the home at some kind of medical facility in the Orlando area, typically being the first one to leave the house in the morning.
* We’re pretty certain that Casey did work in the events office for Kodak, which later became Colorvision, at Universal Studios in 2006. The amended arrest affidavit (http://media.myfoxorlando.com/documents/080708_Anthony_Home_Search_Warrant.pdf) contains further exploration of Casey’s sketchy work history by investigators looking into that aspect of the case. According to that report, she was fired from the job on April 24, 2006. Casey told investigators that she was doing “promotion work” for Fusian Ultra Lounge in Orlando where her new boyfriend Tony worked, but verification that she actually did anything but party there is scant, and I have found no information on where she might have worked between mid-2006 and the present. According to the amended affidavit, Casey tried to tell investigators that she worked for Colorvision after that company bought out Kodak, but Colorvision’s human resources department found no record that would back up that claim.
* The arrest report states that on July 21 “investigators collected several toothbrushes, a hairbrush, a comb and an oral thermometer used by Caylee. This was done in case DNA may be needed at a future date.”
* I have not read or heard in any reports that the impound lot was cordoned off or visited by investigators, or that the spot where Casey’s car had been examined by CSI. This does not mean that police have not done this for all we know, but simply that it has not been reported.
* What Casey bought with her alleged credit card fraud and check forgeries is yet unclear, leading some to speculate that she might have been feeding a drug habit or involved with other sordid things (prostitution, blackmail, etc.), but evidence for this has not surfaced. I’m not sure where I saw it (perhaps MyFoxOrlando 35 or Local6?), but somebody has recently reported that the widely circulated figure of $45,000 in credit card debt may be inflated, and that it may be more like the quadruple digits. (If any of you bloggers out there have seen this, maybe you can help me out on this with a source.) Again, police probably know more about this than we do, and I’m certain Cindy and George Anthony know more, since they would be receiving the billing information with itemized purchases. However, this information has not been made public because charges could be based on it, and also because it could interfere with the ongoing investigation of Caylee’s disappearance.

I did say SB’s theory was ” a stretch,” didn’t I? Still, I don’t believe it would require a “lookout,” however, if Casey made the observations herself. It might, in fact, require an accomplice, however, for running the license information through a government computer, unless Casey was able to note the cell number and get a listing for the owner of that number through a reverse (”criss-cross”) directory. Quite a lot of this information is available for free online at such sites as WhitePages.com, and more fee-based information is available via links from this site and others.
One other factor to bear in mind is that Casey did in fact “borrow” her mother’s ID to allegedly commit credit card fraud; friend Amy also accuses her of stealing cash and forging checks, and by the time we’ve gotten that far into ID theft, it’s certainly not untenable to conceive that others in Casey’s circle of “friends” (I now use that term advisedly) could have been into this kind of illegal activity also. And this only underscores what I’ve been saying about the need to throughly check out and vet Casey’s associates to help us understand why she was spending money she didn’t have like a drunken sailor.
If there any evidence that Casey herself was looking at an apartment there and saw Zenaida’s name on the guest list that way?
From the short video clip of Caylee, it was evident she was good at her verbalization skills.
Some other bloggers were right on they stating she would have talked about what she did at her sitter’s. If she really was Caylee’s babysitter and for that length of time, there surely would be coloring papers etc. that she brought home.
I used to be a state certified sitter in my younger years and I always had projects going with kids that I was caring for. Preschool kids, I taught them to make letters, or had educational pages. The kids made craft things for holidays, ie: Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day.
Is there any evidence on the fridge at the Anythony’s that she brought anything home from her day @ “Zenaida’s”? I doubt it because there was not such sitter!

Anyway – I guess my issue with all this “covert” stuff going on at the apartment complex is that some real thinking and planning would have to go into it. In order for Casey to get into that manager’s building and see a copy of the visitors card – this would have to happen while being unseen by anyone, not a sole. And I have a hard time thinking that binoculars or a telescope were involved.
I realize that a “reverse” search can be done on the telephone number, but you would have to have that telephone number first, and wasn’t it reported that Zenaida gave her cell phone number? I am unfamiliar with a search that does a reverse search on a cell phone? I realize that she most certainly HAD to get this information somehow – because it’s just too coincidental – I’m just having a hard time visualizing this theory of events….
I do realize that some version of it may be within the scope of reason. We know she had adequate time, while everyone thought she was at “work”, to cover her tracks. We have NO idea what she was doing with all of that time. I guess I just think that sometime she’s given far too much credit in the brains department. Why do you think she was competing in the “hot body” contest? Its one more example of Casey using what other people GAVE her, rather than what she could earn/achieve on her own…. ie. a car, her body, her child, money, credit cards, housing etc. Everything Casey has, was given to her by someone else, and it seems she considers those things “disposable.”

When the apartment complex was interviewed and shown a picture of Casey, they did not recognize her as anyone that had visited before. The police, I believe, were hoping that they would find out that Casey disguised or otherwise, visited the apartment using the name Zenaida’s. That proved to be untrue. It is however how they found out that an actual Zenaida had looked at a vacant apartment for rent.
As far as whether or not Caylee made pictures or project with Zenaida and brought them home, it doesn’t appear that she did. Everyone has said that Caylee never mentioned a sitter. The only person that every mentioned her, was Casey, and from what I understand, it was rare that she did. Her “circle” of friends said that they never knew anything about her and that Casey never mentioned her by name. She just said that Caylee was “with the nanny.”
Reading what people have written here about this case gave me an idea on the matter of where Casey came up with the name Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez in connection with the Sawgrass apts. How about on facebook or a similar social networking website? Or maybe on a message board? Or a blog? Someone either Zenaida, herself, or someone she knows could have written about Zenaida, using her full name, and wrote that she wanted to rent or mistakenly wrote that was renting an apt at the Sawgrass apts. Its amazing how much personal info you can find on websites. I’m thinking that since Casey supposedly wanted to move out of her parents’ home that maybe she was reading different sites about local apts and thats where she found Zenaida’s name in connection with the Sawgrass apts. And for some reason the name and place stayed in her memory and she recalled it to use when she needed an excuse to explain where Caylee is. Any thoughts on this?
Did anyone happen to catch the statement that Padilla made on Nancy Grace yesterday about there being a childrens book called Zanny the Nanny? and that is where Casey came up with this whole thing. Also I believe that Padilla knows alot more then he is sharing with everyone and is still doing his own investigation and plans on cracking this case himself. Does anyone really care who gets credit for bringing Casey to justice? I know I don’t, I just want some peace for Caylee and have Casey put away for good. Her lies are incrediable!!! Other then Scott Peterson being in “Paris” at the Eiffel Tower on New Years Eve when in actuality he was in his own front yard at a vigil for Lacy and Conner, I have never in my life heard such extravagant, complex lies. I went to school with this girl name Cynthia T**ts in 1989. She has four children now by 4 different men. Like someone said earlier its the parents fault or in Cynthia’s case the mother for raising such a monster. Cynthia abandoned her 4 children, including a 9 month old in Round Rock Texas while she moved on to Arkansas, all the while showing no concern and total detachment toward her children. Leaving her mother and 4 children to fend for themselves. She had stolen all her mother’s money and let the house go into foreclosure. These are signs of Antisocial Personality Disorder, but I say its a case of just plain greed and being self-centered. It is becoming more and more common to hear stories about mothers abandoning their children or in some cases even murdering their children. More men are single fathers now-a-days because women are walking away from their kids. Someone also stated above that the father may not have been living in the house at the time. On an ABC program there was talk of an argument that took place the day that Casey fled with Caylee. The pictures of Casey with Caylee were all taken while she was with family. There are no pictures of Casey alone with just her and her daughter. I BELIEVE THE POLICE SHOULD PUT CASEY IN THE TRUNK OF THE CAR AND PLAY TAPES OF CAYLEE’S VOICE.

I think Casey either had a way to get access to the guest / visitors list of who visited the Sawgrass apts or she sat out there in Tony’s jeep and waited for a single woman to come and visit the apts. Maybe it was as easy as stealing something out of her car that gave her name. Casey was making up a lot of stories and I figure she just got lucky on the name.
Zenaida Gonzalez wil not get any money out of this. So if this John Morgan guy thinks he can win any money he is wrong. The reason he got involved in this is to have his 10 seconds of fame. Well John Morgan you have it and you made an ass out of yourself.
I would like to know if the police put Zanny in a line up for Casey to identify. Of course, by now anyone with any brains at all could pretty much put this case together. Casey’s mother couldn’t be bothered to watch poor Caylee while her mother went out to party it up. Casey is broke and couldn’t afford a babysitter, so she goes online and finds a home made recipe to subdo her child while she’s in the club. She comes out several hours later to find that her baby has suffacated and died in her trunk. I don’t believe that Casey intentionally tried to kill her child, but I do believe that she was so strung out and mentally disturbed, that she made these decisions without the least bit of concern for her daughter’s well being. This kind of behavier should not be tolerated and she should not be let off easy. She killed her own child, a little baby, and Casey Anthony should be punished to the full extent of the law! Death by lethal injection.

Wow….I came to this post by accident and I find it surprising to read back in October some poster named “Jason” blasting John Morgan and his 10 seconds of fame. First of all….I don’t think that John Morgan needed 10 seconds of fame from this case. If I’m not mistaken he was doing pretty well before this case came to him. Second of all…to take this position is also to say that the woman in this case, zG, wasn’t harmed – which she was. The bottom line is Casey Anthony (along with her parents) have made a complete mess of everything and poor Caylee died because of it. Everyone else involved is being dragged through the mudd and under the bus. They are all disgusting and make me sick. How dare they forget little Caylee.
